Profile

Prof. Carolyne Omulando is a trained High School Teacher and taught at this level for 10 years. Later moved to Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology, Department of Language and Literature Education, Faculty of Education and Social Sciences – Assistant Lecturer (2006 –2009); and at Moi University – Lecture and Senior Lecturer – Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Educational Media, School of Education (2010 – 2016). She later joined Alupe University as an Associate Professor of Education (2017 – 2022), in the Department of Language and Literature Education, School of Education, and Social Sciences, where she served as a faculty member and the Founding Dean School of Education and Social Sciences.

Currently, she is serving as a Professor of Education in Educational Media and Technology Studies at KCA University in the School of Education, Arts, and Social Sciences, Department of Education and Psychological Studies (2023 – date).

She is a DAAD scholar having participated in the training DIES International Deans Course (IDC) programme under the: “Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies” initiative (2019 – 2020). She has also participated in the National Multiplication Training Programme – Kenya, sponsored by DAAD as a Trainer (2021-2022).

She has vast experience in postgraduate supervision and mentorship. She has supervised to graduation a total number of 11 Ph.D. students and 44 Masters’ students and currently supervising 10 Masters and Ph.D. students.
