MANAGER, CURRICULUM DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

Job Objective

  • The Manager, Curriculum Design and Development will be responsible for leading curriculum design initiatives and supporting academic units in developing high-quality, learner centred, innovative programmes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support faculties and departments in curriculum development, review, harmonisation, and accreditation processes.
  • Enhance the quality and consistency of curriculum design in alignment with CUE
  • standards, CBET principles, and international best practices.
  • Facilitate instructional design for online, blended, and technology-enhanced learning environments.
  • Improve turnaround time in programme development and quality assurance processes.
  • Provide technical leadership in the development of learner-centred, industry-responsive, and future-oriented academic programmes.
  • Support continuous academic innovation and institutional competitiveness within the higher education sector.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Master’s degree in Curriculum Studies, Instructional Design, or Educational Technology or its equivalent field from an accredited/recognised institution. A doctoral degree (PhD or Ed.D.) in Curriculum Studies, Instructional Design, or Educational Technology, or an equivalent field,will be an added advantage.
  • At least Eight (8) years’ experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or academic training within a higher education setting.
  • Experience in supporting programme review and redesign initiatives.
  • Ability to develop learner-centred instructional models.
  • Experience in promoting active learning and experiential learning approaches.
  • Knowledge of and experience in ensuring alignment between learning outcomes, assessment, and learning activities.
  • Experience in supporting programme accreditation documentation and related quality assurance processes.
  • Experience in training faculty on curriculum development and instructional design.
  • Experience in developing curriculum development resources, frameworks, and toolkits.
