Job Objective
- The job holder will ensure efficient planning, coordination, and administration of departmental academic and operational activities within the Office of the Registrar, Academic Affairs, enhancing service delivery, ensuring compliance, and improving overall operational effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor departmental operations to ensure consistency with University Strategic goals and effective delivery of services.
- Coordinate the implementation and periodic review of administrative policies, systems, and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
- Ensure proper management, security, and integrity of departmental records and documentation systems.
- Coordinate secretariat functions for the Senate and its committees, including preparation of agendas, minutes, and follow-up on action points.
- Oversee day-to-day administrative activities and ensure timely handling of queries from students, staff, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and monitor departmental work plans, calendars, and activity schedules.
- Coordinate departmental meetings, events, and stakeholder forums.
- Oversee the management of departmental correspondence, ensuring proper tracking and record keeping.
Qualifications And Experience
- Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Capital Management or its equivalent from an accredited/recognised University.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Capital Management or its equivalent from an accredited/recognised University.
- At least eight (8) years of relevant working experience in a University or comparable institution, with three (3) years in a senior officer position.
- Computer skills in relevant areas from a recognized institution.
