Located on the sixth floor of KCA University’s KES 8 billion state-of-the-art Multi-Level Academic Building, the CBIIC represents a KES 20 million investment by the Chandaria Foundation to nurture Kenya’s next generation of job creators and entrepreneurs.
The Chandaria Business Incubation and Innovation Centre will serve as a dynamic ecosystem where students, alumni and aspiring entrepreneurs can transform ideas into viable businesses. The Centre will offer structured incubation programmes, mentorship, entrepreneurship training, seed funding opportunities, and access to industry and global networks.
By shifting focus from traditional job-seeking to job creation, the Centre directly responds to Kenya’s youth unemployment challenge. Participants will receive hands-on support in business development, intellectual property management, product commercialization, and enterprise sustainability, contributing meaningfully to national economic growth and development priorities.
CBIIC is envisioned as an internationally connected innovation hub. Its objectives include promoting innovation awareness, supporting technology-driven start-ups, facilitating international partnerships, protecting intellectual property rights, and participating in global accelerator programmes. The Centre also aims to attract venture capital and strategic investors to scale promising Kenyan innovation.

“Innovation and entrepreneurship are the cornerstones of sustainable development and economic transformation. At the Chandaria Foundation, we believe that investing in young innovators and providing them with the tools, mentorship and resources they need to succeed is not just about creating businesses but also building a self-reliant nation. The Chandaria Business Incubation and Innovation Centre embodies our commitment to fostering a culture where Kenyan youth can transform groundbreaking ideas into solutions that address real-world challenges, create employment and contribute meaningfully to our country’s prosperity. We are proud to partner with KCA University, an institution that shares our vision of empowering the next generation to become not just job seekers, but job creators and change makers.”
“At KCA University, our vision is to be an innovation-driven, globally competitive Business and Technology University. This partnership with the Chandaria Foundation is a testament to our unwavering commitment to leading a research, innovation and incubation-driven institution that nurtures job creators and entrepreneurs. The Chandaria Business Incubation and Innovation Centre will be an ecosystem where creativity meets opportunity, where academic excellence converges with practical entrepreneurship and where our students are equipped not only with theoretical knowledge but with the skills and support to translate their ideas into thriving enterprises. We are dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation that advances knowledge, drives impactful discoveries and contributes to Kenya’s social-economic development while promoting integrity, diversity and teamwork.”
KCA University has expressed appreciation to the Chandaria Foundation for its transformative support, noting that the Centre represents an investment in the aspirations and potential of future generations. The University remains confident that this partnership will produce entrepreneurs, employers, and industry leaders whose impact will extend far beyond campus.
