
On 19th June 2025, Prof. Isaiah I.C. Wakindiki hosted the inaugural Alumni Reunion Breakfast at the Main Campus- Ruaraka in an effort to strengthen alumni cohesion and bring together distinguished former students whose leadership and impact continue to shape global industries while advancing the KCA University legacy.
Since acquiring a University status in 2013, KCA University has recognized 14 distinguished individuals by conferring them with degrees to recognize their outstanding contribution to their fields, professions and society. The VC & CEO hosted FCPA Dr. Joe Muchekehu (Class of 2014), Hon. Amb. Dr. Amina Mohamed, EGH, CBS, CAV (Class of 2014), Prof. Meoli Kashorda (Class of 2019), Prof. George F. Njoroge (Class of 2021) and Amb. Dr. Michal Mlynár (Class of 2023)
At the breakfast, Prof. Wakindiki emphasized the role of alumni in championing the University’s strategic mission, noting that “strengthening our bonds with those who continue to impact the world reaffirms our collective responsibility in shaping a future defined by excellence and transformation.”
On their part, the honorary alumni expressed gratitude for the VC & CEO’s gesture, saying, “We are truly grateful to KCA University for hosting us. This engagement has reaffirmed our bond with the institution and we pledge our continued commitment to supporting KCAU’s strategic vision.”
The alumni were also taken on a guided campus tour to witness ongoing developments, including student-led innovations and infrastructural advancements. KCAU recognizes its entire alumni network as powerful allies who amplify the institution’s influence and anchor its legacy of excellence across generations.

The breakfast also provided the VC & CEO with a moment of reflection on the University’s journey and a reaffirmation of his ambition to transform KCA University to a referral University of choice, driving knowledge, innovation, and development. The Vice Chancellor celebrated Dr. Manu Chandaria for his generous donation of KES 20 million towards the establishment of the Chandaria Business Incubation & Innovation Centre — a visionary project under the KCA University Foundation that will equip students with a dynamic environment to ideate, innovate, and launch impactful ventures.
Additionally, FCPA Dr. Joe Muchekehu was recognized for his KES 1 million contribution to the KCAU Foundation endowment fund, a significant gesture that will support academic excellence and scholarship for future generations.
The inaugural Honorary Alumni Reunion Breakfast was a powerful affirmation of the enduring spirit of collaboration and excellence that defines KCA University. The University has set a firm foundation for a future of collaborative engagement, mutual inspiration, and sustained excellence.
