KCA University has officially opened the doors to the new Nairobi CBD Campus Business Incubation & Innovation Hub, marking a significant milestone in the commitment to fostering innovation, empowering youth enterprise and driving inclusive economic transformation in Kenya. The state-of-the-art facility, commissioned by VC & CEO Prof. Isaiah I.C. Wakindiki on June 16th, 2025, represents a bold KSh 2 million investment by the university

The commissioning ceremony was graced by a distinguished array of guests, including Prof. Elizabeth Kalunda, Chairperson of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK); Ms. Grace Kamere, Head of Programs and Strategic Partnerships, Circle Innovation; Mr. Erick Odipo, Country Lead (Kenya), Silicon Overdrive; and Ms. Ruth Muriithi, Manager, Knowledge Economy & Innovation, Konza Technopolis, alongside enthusiastic students and staff

The establishment of this hub is an intentional response to the evolving role in higher education, which now demands the nurturing of problem-solvers, job creators and ethical entrepreneurs. KCA University is positioning itself at the forefront of this transformation by ensuring our graduates are not just job seekers but innovators and leaders.

Addressing the attendees, Prof. Wakindiki emphasized the university’s practical approach to research and innovation: “We are not content with conducting research for its own sake. We are committed to ensuring that research findings are translated into real-world solutions that improve livelihoods, protect our environment, and create new opportunities for our youth. This is reflected in our ongoing investment in innovation ecosystems, policy frameworks, capacity building, and multi-stakeholder partnerships.”
