Course Overview

This course is designed to provide a comprehensive broad-based education that develops accounting students, small business owners, and financial professionals to effectively and efficiently use Sage accounting software to automate financial tasks, generate accurate financial reports, efficiently process invoices to clients and customers, track expenses and analyze data to make strategic choices about investments, expenses, and growth opportunities. The goal is to equip participants with essential skills to build on financial reporting by translating the theory to a computerized working environment of managing company transactions and generating reports.

Entry Qualifications

To be eligible for this course, the applicant must have:

  • Python Programming Basics
  • OR
  • Front-End Web Development Basics
Teaching methodology
The course will be delivered through a combination of face-to-face and online/virtual sessions, utilizing the university's Learning Management System (LMS) and a range of technologies. The coursework will be covered through the following approaches;
  • Interactive Sage assessments
  • Hands-on practice and demonstrations
  • Peer Discussions & Sharing
  • Real life data on business transactions

Program Duration & Structure

To be considered for the award of the certificate of Merit, a candidate must enroll and complete the program over not less than 2 weeks of study and each week shall consist of 8 lecture hours.
