More than 120 faculty members have completed a 3- module Pedagogical Leadership in Africa (PedaL) faculty enhancement workshop that was facilitated by the university’s Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) in collaboration with the Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR).
The 12-week-long workshop focused on the three fundamental pedagogical pillars; course design, facilitation and assessment which are pivotal in advancing the quality of teaching and promoting effective teaching practices such as curriculum design and cultivating a student-centered approach to teaching at the university.
This culmination of hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence was marked in a closing ceremony that was graced by key stakeholders in the higher education and research sectors such as Jared OngaroSenior Lecturer in Mathematics and Head of Data Science at the University of NairobiDr. Pauline Ngimwathe acting Executive Director of Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR); and Dr. Eunice Marete- the Deputy Commission Secretary at the Commission for University Education.
