Course Overview

The Diploma in Human Resource Management is a comprehensive program designed to equip learners with practical and theoretical knowledge in managing an organization’s most valuable asset, its people. The course provides a strong foundation in key human resource functions such as recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, labour laws, and organizational behavior. It is tailored to prepare students for the dynamic demands of modern workplaces in both the public and private sectors. Through this program students will develop essential skills in leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and strategic decision-making, enabling them to effectively contribute to organizational growth and employee productivity. The diploma also emphasizes the application of Kenyan labour laws and contemporary HR practices, making graduates highly relevant in today’s competitive job market. Upon completion, graduates can pursue careers as Human Resource Officers, Payroll Administrators, Recruitment Assistants, Training Coordinators, and other HR-related roles, or progress to higher studies in human resource management and related disciplines.

Entry Qualifications

  • KCSE certificate with a minimum of aggregate of  C plain
  • Holders of KCA university certificate in banking, business management, project management or procurement and logistics with at least 2 GPA points
  • Any other qualification(s) that may be approved by the university senate

  • Coursework: 5 trimesters
  • Attachment: 12 weeks
