Earn While You Study

Work Study & Student Engagement Programmes give KCA University students paid, flexible ways to fund fees and upkeep while building real workplace skills.

60+students supported with financial assistance each year

Work Study & Student Engagement Programmes

The Campus Life Wing runs these programmes to make sure students can stay in school even when finances are tight. Instead of a one-off grant, students take on part-time work within University units and departments, earning towards fees and upkeep each trimester or semester.

Both academic and professional students are eligible, and vacancies are advertised each intake as departments identify their staffing needs.

How It Works

1

Application

Work Study and SEP job opportunities are advertised, and students apply through the online application form.

2

Shortlisting

The KCAU‑WSP committee reviews every application to identify the most deserving and skilled applicants.

3

Interview & Placement

Shortlisted students are interviewed by the recipient unit or department before being placed.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Complete the appropriate KCAU‑WSP application procedure using the form available on the KCA University website.
  • Have been a KCA University student for at least one semester, with documentary evidence of that semester's results attached to the application.
  • Have passed the last semester or session sat, as provided for in the KCAU‑WSP policy.
  • Be registered for the semester the application is made for.
  • Show a positive attitude to work and highlight relevant skills possessed.
  • Provide a clearance note from the University Registrar confirming no disciplinary record or appearance before the student disciplinary committee.
Every applicant should download and read the full KCAU‑WSP Policy before applying — its terms and conditions are strictly enforced.
