Brief Description about the Office
The Office of the Vice Chancellor & CEO provides overall direction, organization, administration, and oversight of the University’s academic programs and administrative functions in accordance with the Universities Act Cap 210 Laws of Kenya, the University Charter and Statutes, as well as the strategic plan 2024-2028.
Mandates/Functions of the Office
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries directed to the office of the Vice Chancellor & CEO
- Provide administrative support in the office of the Vice Chancellor & CEO
- Manage the Vice Chancellor & CEO’s schedule, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and events.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings and ensure the Vice Chancellor & CEO is well-prepared for all engagements.
- Screen and prioritize phone calls, emails, and correspondence.
- Arrange travel plans, including flights, accommodations, and transportation, for the Vice Chancellor & CEO and accompanying staff as needed.
- Prepare travel itineraries and ensure all arrangements align with the Vice Chancellor & CEO’s schedule and preferences.
- Provide logistical support for meetings, including room reservations, catering arrangements, and technology setup.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, donors, government officials, and community members
