Profile

Gerishom Omulo is an accomplished finance and administration professional with extensive experience in higher education management, strategic planning, and institutional development. He currently serves as Manager in the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor – Finance, Planning and Development (DVC–FPD), where he plays a key role in supporting financial oversight, enhancing administrative coordination, and driving the implementation of strategic initiatives within the division.
With a diverse career spanning academia, healthcare, and the non-profit sector, Gerishom brings a wealth of cross-functional expertise. His previous roles include coordinating postgraduate medical accreditation programs, managing finance and administration functions within a non-profit organization, and overseeing registry operations in a university setting. He began his professional journey as a Finance Assistant, building a strong foundation in finance and institutional operations.
Gerishom holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management and Leadership, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Finance), and an Advanced Diploma in Business Management. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Economic and Management Sciences at the North-West University Business School in South Africa.
His core areas of expertise include financial management, budgeting and control, policy implementation, organizational leadership, and performance management. He is widely recognized for his strong leadership, organizational effectiveness, and ability to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
